So, El Higueron is a settlement on the outskirts of Cordoba that could be described as “Rough and Ready”, “Chavvy”, “Gypsy Town”, “A bit of a Dump” and many other similarly themed descriptions. It’s where we live.
It has, next to the open railway lines, a huge piece of post-industrial landscape that we think used to be a warehouse distribution centre that is the epitome of the setting for many 80’s and 90’s cheap Indie Band music videos.
Upon the walls of these abandoned warehouses are some of the most striking graffiti images that have clearly been created by people with some serious talent. That they are tucked away on a site that so few people will ever see is an eternal shame.
These images, that I think are just brilliant, are therefore the subject of my first proper Photo Essay. I hope you enjoy the images as much as we do.
